rain pelting down
on the umbrella leaves
protecting their buds
on a mountain top
meditating in silence
a monk searches for stars
floating down a river
her tresses caught in a summer breeze
last thoughts - she thinks of hamlet
shivering in snow
the little sparrow prays for
warmth and a blue sky
