abundance
thrown away wasted
we will pay
a big price
for wicked self indulgence

Mid Week Motif - Poets United

Mea Culpa
temptation calling
seductive food porn alert
irresistible
rotund ripe peachy
peace embraces plenty
flesh in abundance

Kardashian Shoes Shadorma
does she need
all these shoes and clothes
i think not
so many
does it make one feel better
for a few minutes?

Goldie Locks
he's fooling no one
with this abundance of hair
fake hair fake person
Sigh. There is no way to make amends. This poem's brevity recommends we simply STOP, now. Good.
ReplyDeleteSo much truth in these lines. Sadly!
ReplyDelete"a big price
ReplyDeletefor wicked self indulgence"...True, true. Spot on!
Such wisdom in your words — the abundant resources are wasted by the few leaving many others to deal and suffer in their scarcity. It's a wicked world indeed.

ReplyDeleteWee ones: vast in craft and wisdom; thanks for this sumptuous repast of your words today Rall
ReplyDeletemuch love...
Each poem speaks, in their own wisdom of a truth that we don't want to share.
ReplyDeleteHumans are animals that indulge - the only ones I think. Restaurants in the US are working to eliminate waste and to share out leftover food. But the household humans still throw away tons of food every year. It makes me weep.
ReplyDeleteSuch right-on observations. That closet is the epitome of the Myth of More, that person will never have Enough. I drooled over the strawberry pancakes........and cracked up over the trump photo and poem. Wonderful post!
ReplyDeleteThere are two types of people, those who want to be happy living on this beautiful Earth with all of its inhabitants and then there are those that want to make as much profit as possible from ravaging the Earth regardless of the seas, air, forests, animals and their fellow citizens and when that has all gone, trashed and ruined flyaway laughing to Mars or wherever to ruin that planet too.
