The Owl and The Pussy Cat - Sequel

they sailed away for a year and a day
to the land where the bong trees grow

they sang by the light of the moon
until things began to go out of toon
the owl hallucinated smoking too many bongs
pussy  was upset and thought it was too strong
she decided to  escape to somewhere  quite far
away from the strumming of that wretched guitar

one night she hopped into the pea green boat
rowed and rowed  praying it would keep afloat
next time it would be a persian or chinchilla
no more wide eyed owls
who turn out to be  stoned killers

alas  once again she got it all wrong
finding herself with a raggedy ole tom

Luck certainly has a lot to play with making friends. One just can't be expected to have it smooth. Real friends are gems a million. Wonderful word-craft Rall!

  6. Oh, the habit of getting along with these "raggedy ole toms".
I really enjoyed the tone, it seems almost high on its own accord — bongs may constitute a kind of happiness, but the strong undercurrents have to be dealt with. Ha!
    A very interesting write.

  10. ha - I enjoyed the humorous side of the owl. He really needs to watch what he smokes.
