he daydreams sometimes
about little miss mouse
having her there
in his big lovely house
he ponders the world
on this and on that
finding solace in books
tv and the cats
he's shy and romantic
but can be quite frantic
thoughtful and kind
with an enquiring fine mind
one day he'll find a very cute bear
to have and to hold his sweet life to share
a mouse is ok as a loyal good friend
but anything more
would drive cats round the bend
