 listening to this

i will always be sixteen

it will always be saturday afternoon

in the music room

french doors open

on to a verandah

a gentle sea breeze blowing to

the distant thwack of tennis balls

from the court

on a summers day

at school

  2. An idyllic scene! And redolent of a bygone era. You recreated it vividly.

  6. I mostly listen to modern music but I listened to a lot of Debussy as a teen-ager -- he really takes you to another place, a better one!

  7. Music had that effect on the heart and soul. There are melodies that conjure my grandmother's face, her fingers braiding my hair... And others that remind me of less gentle times. Such a powerful lens, music.

  8. you have captured the moment.

if you like Debussy, you might like Roxane Elfasci's interpretations on classical guitar. ~
