student digs
no tiles
linoleum floor
love
the no frills
the simplicity
luxury
is a trap
we are all paying
the price for it now
KISS
i remember
feeling like this
i was young
it was always summer
i had no idea
about anything much
an innocent
tiptoing through tulips
i am pleased
maturity
was a long time coming
discovering all those truths
reality
makes you wise
but not necessarily happy

Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh man Rall, I found both here to be good reads, but I really resonated with your second piece. Excellent!
ReplyDeleteWise reflections on the two images, Rall.
ReplyDeleteThe last one is my favourite. Happy Sunday
ReplyDeleteMuch💖love
So true - give me a swing please.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to resurrect that trust in simplicity.
ReplyDeleteTwo great takes, well done Rall.
ReplyDeleteThe second one speaks to me, however, my inner child is still very happy swinging and dreaming of touching the sky.
ReplyDeleteThere is a somber and sad truth flowing here. Great writing Rall!
ReplyDeleteLove the swing. It brings back great youthful memories.
ReplyDeleteWisdom and the price of it all speaks right to me through this poem. Great writing!
