in disbelief

she waved back enthusiastically

popping a button

feigning delight

he looked a tad jagged around the edges 

caught red handed

she joined the dots together

that was not his cousin

that was his charismatic mistress

woe betide him if his wife finds out

she will take him down a peg or two
