we used to play this in the junior school band
me on the bass drum
it was fun
did not realise the significance of the march at the time
have not seen the film' bridge on the river kwai'
it's on the endless growing to do list

The first stanza is innocence while the last is experience with the historical bridge.
ReplyDeletePicturing you playing a bass drum makes me smile. I did see the movie in the theater when it first came out, but haven't watched it since. Probably should!
ReplyDeleteWow, this takes me back. Like Mary, i should revisit the film. I am fascinated by that time in history. The bass drum must have been fun!
