Poets and Storytellers United ...Friday Writings # 136

the boring home life

of a domestic goddess

is luxury

too many suffering souls

in this cruel world

would swap places

in a a heartbeat

we can begin to live differently

by doing small things

like

thinking how lucky we are

 to have dishes to wash

to have food to plan a meal

to appreciate what we have

as my nan used to say

always look behind you

there are so many who are far worse off

During COVID and recovery, I have been doing bare minimum things to look after self and cat, with much repetitive sameness. It's surprising how pleasant this has been!

  2. I like your Nan's saying. A nice way to say "quit your griping."
A fun list poem, seemingly complete.

  3. Wonderful perspective Rall. Joy and fulfillment can be found in so many places, if one truly looks. 🙂✌🏼🫶🏼

  4. I love the way you think, Rall ... of course, it's who you are, the essence of you. I am enjoying summer away from my blog. Hope your winter is progressing nicely.
