In The Time of Java
borobudur, an ancient temple, holding all of the secrets
magical moves, at the sultan's palace, breath taking experience
lovely young men, graceful sultan's dancers, ethereal performers
gamelan chimes, a long time ago now, important part of my life

Rall, I really love how you captured the timeless spirit of Borobudur and the sultan's palace. The way you describe the dancers and gamelan chimes takes me right there with you!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Oh to travel and visit these sites!
ReplyDeleteIndonesia is on our doorstep so it is very inexpensive to travel and live there particularly years ago. When I first went there the average Indonesian salary was thirty Australian dollars per annum !
DeleteBeautiful poem, Rall! I love learning about new cultures.
