Whats Going On....Choosing Beauty

our world
is saturated in
natural beauty
take two  little aussie pigeons
unnoticed
unheard of

                                             spinifex pigeon

                                            woomoo pigeon
take
the sweetness of our cuddly koalas
the cosiness of our cuddle cats
giving warmth and love to those
so often neglected and alone

take our adorable
flesh and fur babies
heaven in a hug
it's love alright

and i ask why are we like this
how can we do this
how can we hate and destroy each other
when we are surrounded and drenched
in such magnificence and moon magic
a gift to us from the divine

                                                     the simple  artichoke

  2. I ask the same question, Rall, daily. I love those colourful little birds - so beautiful. And the furry critters who charm us so - we could learn so much from them. Thanks for lifting my heart with this post.

  4. "heaven in a hug"
I feel this poem deeply. How can we mar the beauty so? Your photos and pictures add to the enchantment. The cartoon is right on. This is my new favorite of your writing.

  5. It's so unbelievable that pigeons could be this beautiful! The second one looks like our "Hariyal", a kind of green pigeon. Wow! Love all the beauties and words here.

  8. It seems like the colors are more vibrant in Australia. There is so much wonderful wildlife that you do not see in the US. Love the photos!
