Napowrimo Day 3
Prompt.What do I fear most?
I live quietly now
blend in
And I'm careful
never to show the horror in my eyes
when I watch them at work and play
If they sense fear or weakness
they pounce
Sometimes someone
with an extraterrestial gene
like Bach Brahms or Botticelli
shows up every now and then
but frankly Jesus shouldn't
have wasted his time
I am happiest in the waves
and in the hot silent stillness
of the desert with dark blue
skies speckled with stars
And if you go before me
I'll be joining you within hours.
So you fear solitude? I see it more as a blessing, I think...Or perhaps that's only possible once you accept it?
ReplyDeleteFar too simplistic an interpretation.More to it
ReplyDeletethan a fear of solitude.
Hi Rall,
ReplyDeletePerhaps you fear the baser elements of mankind; the covetous, predatory, ravening nature.
perhaps the strangeness of our species
ReplyDeleteWhat do you fear?
ReplyDeleteAre you a teacher?
I hear you Ral, my wife and I live on the edge of and spend most of our free time, in the Oregon wilderness...

ReplyDeleteWhat I liked most about RWP was meeting a few

living on the edge living on the outer and looking on askance.
