' I'm Breaking The Rules '

Napowrimo poem Day 28
Prompt...Intuition

Intuition
God's whisper
in your ear
Go
Don't Go
Run for your life
Learn to read eyes
Learn to read
in between
and underneath
the lines
Watch the fourth of
seven waves away
How often have
I been fooled
by Caution
God's imposter
keeping me captive
for so long in my
traditional chains
which I never unlock
even though I have the key
I'm breaking the rules
This is a start

  1. Rules are really only guidelines anyway.

  2. Rules and caution be damned, bring on the anarchy!

  3. Love this, including those lines about the "traditional chains" that you have the key to unlock but do not. Great write...and yea, chuck the chains!

  4. I prefer you in front...so I can keep an eye on you!

  5. I admire your spirit. Having always been a rebel, may I join?

  6. hmmm, I think you might be like me, obsessed with "signs", unsure if your mind is just putting things together like an optical illusion (allusion?) or if something deeper and more Mindful is truly trying to tell you something.

Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this... :P

  7. You betcha Viv. I have been monitoring your progress with some academic interest for a month and I have noted a definite leaning towards the looney fringe which is a pre requisite.

Amen to that, from one who can never seem to find his key.

  9. Love the idea of Caution being God's imposter. For some time now I've been cautiously throwing Caution to the wind, but didn't understnad quite why! Beginning to understand why is delightful.

  13. There are ramifications for breaking the rules, or so I'm told. So if you're going to break them, you might as well flout them. Caution is a bugger.

  14. I hear a voice whispering in my ear right now; pretty sure it's not God! Well done as always, Rall!

    Only 2 more days!

  15. Excellent! Breaking them can be quite fun as well. Don't just think outside the box, burst a friggin' hole through it.
