Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day
And for some, jumping out of buildings
heaven's lease hath all too short a date
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines
And oft is his gold complexion dimmed
by plumes of smoke dust and mayhem
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see
So long lives this and this gives life to thee
in possibly an unappealing way
ruining the memory of a lovely bike ride
portraying you as feckless and uncaring
which may not necessarily be the case
One swallow does not make a summer.
Potent write with a very disturbing image. Goosebumps on my arms, I keep returning to the picture! Wow~the line about the bodies jumping....wow.
ReplyDeleteit's great how you take this picture, which automatically we think these people are having a great time, and we have no idea what they are talking about, why they are not going home, or what home even has in store for them.
