HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

her grandmother was indomitable yet humorous
her mother was complex, creative and eccentric
my mother was beautiful and sadly enigmatic
their mother is creative, sadly enigmatic and subversive
who knows how the line will follow on in the future
we  all seem to muddle through somehow
we are mothers

  2. An ekphrastic poem. I love the way you get three generations in this poem without using so many words...good line at the end of the poem which leaves the reader thinking.

    1. In our family the men are gentle quiet types and have supporting roles...all the women are divas and take centre stage. It has worked well for everyone so far. I did break the mould there for awhile...it was a mistake:)

Just been musing on life ... you know what Dodos can be like. A strange and serious character cloisterd me away for a time but I am breaking free.
