Haiku Heights

reeling from ambush
like a blow to the head she
still can  laugh out loud

her resilience
was learnt from years of practice
best remedy - laugh

the sad thing about
betrayal is -  it never
comes from enemies

  1. It's good to find some inner strength when betrayed! Powerful haiku!

  2. We say here in Ghana that if an animal will bite you it is from your cloth. To wit, it is the one closest to you that betrays you. Nicely done haiku.

  3. Betrayal seldom from enemies - very true! It's only after the betrayal that they become enemies! Nicely Rallentanda!

  4. Tragically true! The people you love can hurt you most because they know you best. A very good set on a tragic theme x

  6. Since we're talking Psalms, this makes me think of that verse "my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread." Sometimes all one can do is laugh. Nicely done!
