Mates

Poetry Jam

i love my pooh bear he's such a good friend
sometimes too grumpy but now he's on the mend

he works all day and writes all night
he's such a bonza bear and not at all trite

he thinks that i'm a serial pest
tagging along - requests requests

but deep down inside he chuckles with glee
when he opens his email and sees that it's me

if i had ten dollars i'd buy him some pants
to keep his bum warm to protect him from ants

sadly i don't have any money for gifts
he'll have to make do with a poem and a kiss

MERRY XMAS

  2. Unbeknown to Pommie readers Pooh took a secret holiday to Oz where he unfortunately picked up a few bad habits:)

  3. it is my opinion that poems and kisses are much sweeter than money gifts

  4. In reality the gift you bestow is far greater than any material gift. I loved this, and yes if you come to Oz chances you will pick up a few bad habits, we are a bit like that.

.All very well about materialism but I could use a sugar daddy for Xmas to get it runnin' again:)

    Anyways

  7. That is what I keep telling him Alan. Sadly the process of indoctrination is a very slow one:)

  9. Such an innocent poem. when you do not have money for gift , a kiss , a hug and love are more than enough.

  14. Let's be clear here; Pooh Bear needs a pair of pants. He cannot continue wandering about 'commando' fashion. It is just not civilised and a hard frost poses a serious health risk to life and *limb*.

  15. Love pooh bear! Pants or no pants - real friends don't care what you wear or even don't wear!

    1. Its OK for bears not to wear pants. However I prefer all my human friends to wear pants (especially the guys) .I know...I'm just a politically incorrect, religiously repressed bourgeoise elitist:)

    2. But what if you're a bear trapped in the body of a man?

    3. ...
You need to spend some time in the bush or in a cave on a beach in Scotland and meditate.. Remove yourself from twisted weird city life...we live in a terribly strange perverted and unhealthy world....think elevated thoughts a few steps above the mire...walk on air! (fresh air)
