i love my pooh bear he's such a good friend
sometimes too grumpy but now he's on the mend
he works all day and writes all night
he's such a bonza bear and not at all trite
he thinks that i'm a serial pest
tagging along - requests requests
but deep down inside he chuckles with glee
when he opens his email and sees that it's me
if i had ten dollars i'd buy him some pants
to keep his bum warm to protect him from ants
sadly i don't have any money for gifts
he'll have to make do with a poem and a kiss
MERRY XMAS
LOL.
ReplyDeletePooh Bear would never think such a thing!
Confession
DeleteI stole this pic from Cosmo's blog.
Unbeknown to Pommie readers Pooh took a secret holiday to Oz where he unfortunately picked up a few bad habits:)
ReplyDeleteit is my opinion that poems and kisses are much sweeter than money gifts
ReplyDeleteIn reality the gift you bestow is far greater than any material gift. I loved this, and yes if you come to Oz chances you will pick up a few bad habits, we are a bit like that.
ReplyDeleteI AM a bloomin' Aussie ya dingbat.:)No one else would have a shopping bag from Gunnedah and an akubra in their blog photos.Scroll down to see. That's me in my red van which has died lying unregisterd in the paddock
ReplyDelete. All very well about materialism but I could use a sugar daddy for Xmas to get it runnin' again:)
Anyways
Welcome and thank you for your comment. You should visit again and we can talk strine together. Cosmo ( J Cosmo Newbery) is also an Aussie . Visit his blog (Notes On A Serviette) and say hello...
Love this, a poem and a kiss is an amazing gift, he is a very lucky bear.
ReplyDeleteThat is what I keep telling him Alan. Sadly the process of indoctrination is a very slow one:)
ReplyDeleteI am sure Pooh will appreciate Piglet's gift.
ReplyDeleteSuch an innocent poem. when you do not have money for gift , a kiss , a hug and love are more than enough.
ReplyDeleteI am sure he would be more than happy with that gift. :-)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Alan. Material things are often overrated.
ReplyDeletehe'll have to make do with a poem and a kiss
ReplyDeletePretty sure he would very much prefer these! Nicely Rallentanda!
Hank
Thanks Hank...you could be right !:)
ReplyDeleteHO HO HO!!!
ReplyDeleteLet's be clear here; Pooh Bear needs a pair of pants. He cannot continue wandering about 'commando' fashion. It is just not civilised and a hard frost poses a serious health risk to life and *limb*.
ReplyDeleteTake him to the secret court. Have him sectioned and locked away!
DeleteLove pooh bear! Pants or no pants - real friends don't care what you wear or even don't wear!
ReplyDeleteIts OK for bears not to wear pants. However I prefer all my human friends to wear pants (especially the guys) .I know...I'm just a politically incorrect, religiously repressed bourgeoise elitist:)
DeleteBut what if you're a bear trapped in the body of a man?
Delete...
DeleteYou need to spend some time in the bush or in a cave on a beach in Scotland and meditate.. Remove yourself from twisted weird city life...we live in a terribly strange perverted and unhealthy world....think elevated thoughts a few steps above the mire...walk on air! (fresh air)
Sure he will make it with Poem and kiss..... I love those gifts........... well Written......
ReplyDeleteCute one. Love the ending. Poem and a kiss sound perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove it! :-)
