Manifesto

 dverse

i write
to delight
the odd bods

i write
to avoid doris

i write to
procrastinate

i write
to give a voice
to the quirky

i write to
provoke thoughts

i write
to leave
cryptic clues
for my knight

i write
for my cat
Geoffrey

i write
to receive
chuckles and chortles

i write
as a transport service

i write
because i can

i write
to give

  4. I procrastinate my writing - I wonder what that says about me? Love all of these. Curious about doris (as in I never want to be a Doris Day?) So cool, and of course Geoffrey the cat thinks you're a genius, because clearly you are! Thanks for linking!

    1. Doris and the Domestics= household chores. Ah memories of Doris Day..a cute blonde bob with a starched pink apron feather duster in hand singing
" que sera sera" Yep...that's me:) giggles

  5. One gets surrounded with good ambience and good thoughts that boost. How nice to smoothly go though life despite having Doris! Good one Rallentanda!

  10. We write for so many reasons - you covered quite a few there! I enjoyed the read!

  11. These are all really great reasons to write. I especially identify with writing to provoke, for chuckles, and to give. This is a fun read!

  12. All reasons to rejoice that you pick up a pen! I loved this, how it covered ground from "avoiding" to "because I have to." The work of the poet is first and foremost about the "having to" as well as the "can"! I thank God every day for blogging. Amy

  13. I write to give - that's most important. Like how you bring it up - a great manifesto.
