keep the cat happy...& i sure wish more wrote

Doris in our household is the the word for domestic chores...sic Doris and the Domestics. So you do know Doris well Brianj:)
DeleteI especially like "I write because i can....' That works for me!
ReplyDeleteI like anything I can do with relative ease.
DeleteI hope the cat appreciates your writing!
ReplyDeleteGeoffrey thinks I am a genius! :)
DeleteI procrastinate my writing - I wonder what that says about me? Love all of these. Curious about doris (as in I never want to be a Doris Day?) So cool, and of course Geoffrey the cat thinks you're a genius, because clearly you are! Thanks for linking!
ReplyDeleteDoris and the Domestics= household chores. Ah memories of Doris Day..a cute blonde bob with a starched pink apron feather duster in hand singing
Delete" que sera sera" Yep...that's me:) giggles
One gets surrounded with good ambience and good thoughts that boost. How nice to smoothly go though life despite having Doris! Good one Rallentanda!
ReplyDeleteHank
Wrong Hank...I have been plotting to get rid of Doris for years:)
DeleteChuckles and chortles are a great reason to write!
ReplyDeleteI have found plenty of peas mainly under my mattress..Sigh...the perennial problem of a Princess!
Delete"cryptic clues" alliterate - or is it fate :)
ReplyDeleteI think you have misunderstood bwt ...there are no alliterative cryptic clues under my mattress!
DeleteI can relate to many of these, love that you write for your cat. :0)
ReplyDeletewriting to procrastinate and avoid Doris...these work quite nicely for me as I am a slave to Doris in my house.
ReplyDeleteDavid Niven said he knew Doris Day before she was a virgin Bwah haha:)
DeleteWe write for so many reasons - you covered quite a few there! I enjoyed the read!
ReplyDeleteThese are all really great reasons to write. I especially identify with writing to provoke, for chuckles, and to give. This is a fun read!
ReplyDeleteAll reasons to rejoice that you pick up a pen! I loved this, how it covered ground from "avoiding" to "because I have to." The work of the poet is first and foremost about the "having to" as well as the "can"! I thank God every day for blogging. Amy
ReplyDeleteI write to give - that's most important. Like how you bring it up - a great manifesto.
