Boycott

poets united

Ukranian women are being encouraged to wear these t shirts as a protest against the Russians. The message is a sex ban: Don't give it to the Russians.

if you have a russian boyfriend
it's time for him to go
winter's coming shortly
he'll have to sleep  in the snow

no more sex for ruski boys
we are not cute ukranian toys
lysistrata did it right
in the end she won outright

you've got to hand it to those greeks
they came up with extraordinary feats

  1. Yes indeed! Aristophanes had a great idea, especially that women need to stay in groups to be safe when trying such an action. What a fun take on the prompt--and a serious Ukrainian boycott it will be too.

  3. Sometimes it's about what you won't do - not what you will do to win a war!

  4. Ha, this is an interesting boycott! Reminds me of the heady days of women's liberation in the 70's when I'm sure many of our husbands experienced the same. Smiles.

  5. There'll be many a Russian with (ahem) "large burdens" if this catches on.

Could someone please explain what a 'Lioness on a Cheesegrater' is? We never did cove this at school.

  7. Thinking about this. Jack is due a holiday and hasn't yet decided on a location. Ukraine may be a good choice. What was it John Lennon said?

"Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out
    They leave the West behind."

  8. I would not heed John Lennon's recommendation on the fairer sex. He married Yoko Ono !

  12. The protesters were outside the ballet at last night's Bolshoi performance but the show went on anyway. To a packed house house I might add . . .
