ReplyDeleteLove the Death by celebrity Addiction, so true
ReplyDeleteDon't start me...
ReplyDeleteHope you are having fun French Boy. Cold wintry but bright blue skies here.
DeleteWow ....
ReplyDeleteLilly Allan caught the mood of despair of the young in 2009 in "The Fear". Through the eyes of the young, what's going on is 'normal'. Us oldies (present company excepted) know it isn't.
Doh .... it was this that caused the "Wow" above:
ReplyDelete"one can die of spiritual thirst and hunger
in a cornucopia of temporal plenty"
...It never occured to me that anything else caused the " Wow ":)
DeleteSad by the truth this holds.
ReplyDeleteSo true... This world definetely goes downhill. I'm young, but I have always yearned for the past - I'm sure it was much better in many aspects. I liked this a lot, Rallentanda!
ReplyDeleteWry and satiric, yet about a shameful truth. Great write, Rall!
ReplyDeletePopped over here after visiting Poetry Jam...aaaand I am still digesting the bit about the alien baby! Surely no one thought that was real? Great write, I guffawed at the dancing with the stars bit and the dig at the kardashians. My thoughts exactly.
