Haiku Horizons

city space is small
no room for a garden so
this will have to do

want to stay happy?
keep living in your own space
kiss next door neighbours

  3. You mentioned two good things but not the negatives. Proximity is good except at 2am in the morning!

  4. I am blessed. I live in an inner city area which because of the nature of the resident demographic is unusually quiet. I only live here part time anyway. I love the anonymity of the city. Unlike most suburban folk I love the fact that no one knows their neighbours . In the bush even if you have no neighbours they can hear your car coming from twenty kilometres away, know how many times you went to the tip ,what new items you have purchased from town and one must smile and make the correct grunts about what a nightmare city life is and how you would love to live in the bush full time , when you call in to the local village store.Tis true enough, country folk are very friendly and helpful in the town. They smile a lot. It is the first thing you notice after a stint in the city. ...

    1. There's an expression in Scotland for village closeness.

"The neighbours know when your s*it changes colour."

Having lived in London before rural Scotland, I can relate to this.

  5. The kissing neighbours was a joke. Sydney is not Adelaide:)

  6. The comments are as interesting as the haiku -- also with Cedric and Kitty -- I'm not sure what the story is but I'll nod and eavesdrop, thank you very much. :)

    1. Jack is not a poet...he is more along the lines of a normal male....not vicious..you can have differences with Jack and he wont come at you via the back door with a sledge hammer and knife and defame you over the internet..
enlisting all his fellow weirdos to do the same....that is not the way of Jack:)
