Three Word Wednesday

geek carcass slash

i knew a geek once
he wanted to reinvent himself
became a knife thrower
practised on carcasses
became so skilful
he could slash a target
to pieces with one hit

  1. Each to his (or her) own. I would have steered clear...what happened to you? Which one of you was cut up when you parted?

  2. It is absolutely impossible to profile a person from a poetry blog. I really wish readers would stop attempting to do so. On your own blog you have made a statement saying that the content is sometimes real and sometimes fictitious. I on the other hand refuse to state whether my work is my own experience , someone elses' experience or wholly or partly fictitious because it is no one's business.

Poetry is designed to excite the imagination of the reader...it is not a tell all fess up.You can read a scandal rag if you want that stuff. There appears to be an unhealthy preoccupation amongst some of us who are intent on profiling and fishing for personal details . Serial stalking I believe it is called The age of privacy may be dead but I reject the notion that everyone must know the personal details of everyone else.
As for the parting of the ways. I am not absolutely sure to whom you are referring. I have had so many Parting Of The Ways. It is a commonplace event for me in the blogosphere. Any more of this nonsense and you'll end up as fried oldegg - on toast. Got it:)

    1. You are so right of course. I am not what write and mine would be a boring post if I did. Writers are entertainers and my blog is not a confession box.

    2. Well, that told oldegg .... Lol ..... I can see you are on top form.

Chilling piece. Means there is hope for all geeks who want a change of direction. Now where did I put my chisels?

    3. Dodo if you start up again you might be on the receiving end of some very colourful French expletives and banished for life to Mauritius. Be warned !

  3. I love the quote as much as the poem...creating oneself isn't pretty and involves messy disassembling more than pretty 'cover up' decorating - my twisted old head's view at least

    1. I thought the quote was interesting too. The cover ups don't work...they always break through.

Jae you have no idea how lucky you are to have a sense of the ridiculous and humour. I have glimpsed into the psyches of those who have not been blessed with it and it so bleak, poisonous and horrifying I am forever grateful for poetry blogging otherwise I would never have been enlightened.
I like a good rock solid truth and tea for breakfast:)

  5. The thing about geeks that most people miss is that they work towards perfection, perfection of knowing and performing. It's amazing to see how you have brought out that quality where the geek is not only a geek as one would define it, but is someone who has perfected the art of knife throwing. Pretty cool
