can charm me
to distraction
can seduce me
can provide
trips
to the moon
to nirvana
to hell
to despair
to joy
to adventure
to fantasy
to rebellion

can tell me
your secrets
your pain
your lies
your hopes
your shame
your belief
your fears
your loves
your dreams

if i touch your fingertips

i will know you
at once
Lovely sparkling stuff - so crisp, clear and well fashioned as ever... Always enjoy my visits here... With Best Wishes Scott www.scotthastie.com
ReplyDeleteYour are very welcome Scott.. your comments are always so positive and civilised....thank you :)
Deletebeautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Natasa.
DeleteI knew a profoundly deaf girl once, our eyes spoke quite clearly as I was not adept at Auslan!
ReplyDeleteWell at least she was not blind as well ( I'm presuming that was a good thing:)
DeleteOh, nicely played Rallentanda...words certainly can't keep you warm and comforted in the way a loving hand can...
ReplyDeleteI am far too easily charmed and seduced by words....have discovered (to my chagrin) that I need to meet someone ( in the flesh) in order to make a sound judgement of that person before embarking on any kind of a friendship. Yes...I know ....I am primitive and do not fit into the technological age with its compulsory interconnectedness:)
ReplyDeleteLove this.
DeleteWhen I met my wife it was when I held her hand I knew we were destined for one another. Hands 'talk' you know. Still remember it too. Mind you, the first kiss helped too.
This is a beautiful piece, so clever and well done.
ReplyDeleteThank you Michael.
Deleteenjoyed this. the distinction between words and touch
ReplyDeletegracias
Wow! Excellent poem. I liked your use of the graphics for some of the words. And very strong conclusion pointing out that touch is more revealing than words.
ReplyDeleteFor me...yes !
DeleteAh... I'm more on the side of words... I find you can read too much in physical comfort... But yes, I know what you mean... Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteBoth !
DeleteThe woes of words is in such a delicate balance.. sometimes a silent touch says so much more.
ReplyDeleteI love how you displayed this poem...so much meaning seen in the visual and the words...words have become a life force for me...
ReplyDeleteWell yes they are..but this is not really what this poem is about.
DeleteOh such a cool and unexpected ending. Good one.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! You take us on a journey of words and we reach a destination of truth
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Sunday
Much love...
Creative post! I like it.
ReplyDeleteRall, where do you get your ideas from? lol, I loved everything about it. Especially the last line which is a surprise... :)
ReplyDeleteMuch truth to this!! I loved where to took this!
ReplyDeleteI love the ending. Sometimes a simple touch can hold more than words can express.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like this. There's much revealed in words, but touch cannot lie. Lovely write.
ReplyDeleteTouch, as a short cut, is sometimes too intense for me, but I love the spirituality of this vision. Genious poem structure in form/meaning--such a relief to get to the touch part after the two stanzas of words.
ReplyDeleteI really like the movement of the words interacting with pictures. I love the conclusion also. Touch is the best way to know a person as opposed to words.
ReplyDeleteLoved this. Didn't see the hard-pivot towards touch coming, and I loved it all the more because of it.
ReplyDeleteAh.. so true the value of non-verbal communication..and eye to eye or a finger to finger is so much more than words can ever tell us about each other..
ReplyDeleteEyes and finger really do not lie..for what lies beneath is true spirit of life..:)
A perfect poem :)
