Susan's Mid Week Motif
mr singh was very exact
drove mrs singh crazy
with his measuring tack
oh goodness ravi
we'll be here all night
put away the compass
or i'll go on strike
she huffed and puffed
and said OK
if you don't stop now
I'll be up and away
so in the kitchen
now smiling alone
mr singh chopped onions
in his sweet little home
diamonds and rounds
in small structured shapes
if only he remembered
where his wife put the plates
Internet Romance

How can I tell her we are both just stencils !
oh darling jane
will our love survive
when it starts to rain
and the paint's not dry
we'll both end up
as a smear on a wall
and then you'll discover
i wasn't tall after all
Hahaha! I like both poems. Highly effective: Both made me laugh. I've met the first person. The second poem delights my sense of theatre and representational art.
ReplyDeleteI like the short stencil man... Clever
ReplyDeleteThe chopper with the compass made me smile. As did the swoony not-tall man.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for taking the time to read my Love Song to Clayoquot Sound. Only a few people have done that over the years. Yes, it was a spectacular time and I am proud I was brave enough to make the leap and that I had such joy. It is a very special place, a power spot on the planet. I will be there this weekend. Yay!
ReplyDeleteLucky you....sounds marvellous !
DeleteA foot in wonderland...such magic here Rallentanda...made me think of mrs pepperpot for some reason
ReplyDeleteI love your clever compositions always ... brilliantly humorous :-)
ReplyDeleteI can remember as a child looking at my brothers plate to see if we had the same size helpings! So Mr. Singh would have been welcome back then.
ReplyDeletea nice chuckle in this... if almost sang itself
ReplyDeleteclassical items,
ReplyDeletewell done.
