Seven

there is only room for seven
who lives who dies?
who decides?

seven angels blasted the trumpets
the seventh seal was opened
there was nothing
God laughs
says wait 30 minutes
sends
a message
' Hey Lighten Up Lambs  ' !

seven husbands
the trick - no names
call  everyone 'darling'

at seven
being trained in the role
of  domestic serfdom

no way
not seven- not even one
cold showers for all of you

when i was seven
i was bookish and different
nothing has changed

been blogging poems
for seven years
maybe time to bow out

  1. You can't bow out now: The first stanza grabbed me, and the five in between were so full of wit! I am sure you've got to stay, Darling.

  2. Oh please don't bow out! These were so much fun to read, and you obviously had fun creating them.

  4. Please don't. Your blog is one that keeps me entertained and makes me feel I wish I had written what you have. Not only that, I am sure that you have so much more to say.

  5. Well written, great use of opposition in the poem. Also what everyone else said.

  7. What a lovely picture of the seven year Ralli. Sensitive, studious, curious. Bet you asked all the difficult unanswerable questions. Years in front to fathom the mysteries of life. Alas, you knew understood them as a child, just needed the words and medium. Why would you want to stop? Bless you then and now; and a warm cuddle to the girl and to the woman.
