  2. There must be some way that Australia can deal with refugees other that making their lives hell and as bad as where they have come from. To treat those that risk the journey and plead for asylum by punishing them is clearly not giving them a fair go. So many of the migrants who made it to our shores in the past have made a go of it and become welcome citizens here. This treatment is inhumane and should be stopped. There must be a better way.

    1. Agree with these sentiments...However these haiku refer to my being unceremoniously banished from Poets United after 4 years. At least it has now been verified. A lot of your comment could be applicable to my own situation.
