Wow. Yes. A chink in the armor is definitely love, but I'm still glad there is a chink ... although I am also grateful for Boadicea. And I am a total fan of this song!
Love can hurt - especially if it is an unknown quantity to us..far easier to put on armour and dodge arrows than accept a hug - for this old tortoise at least ;)
This is beautiful Rail. It is powerful in its message of love. You used some wonderful lines here. The music is great too, but I so much appreciate your poem.
Whew! Deep and dark and wonderful, Rall. No matter how strong we make our carapace it only takes one chink wrought by love to make us vulnerable and mortal and capable of suffering fatal wounds...
