and a lot of fun
even so
she remembered that
earsplitting rejection
but still managed to maintain
a stiff upper lip
and dead pan face
it was the first time
she understood what they meant
when they talked among themselves
about
batting for the other side

ReplyDeleteA harsh reality for some women particularly in that era and one of the best reasons i.m.o. for making it illegal to discriminate against gays so they are no longer forced into marriages with women to meet social expectations and acceptance.

DeleteIt is the women with no knowledge that their husbands are gay who have my sympathy.They have been tricked and used.If the women wanting a husband and children had known the situation in the first place these guy would never have even be considered as prospective partners. There lies the tragedy in this gross deception.Hopefully this has now come to an end, at least in the west.
DeleteScientifically I suppose natural selection will sway this way even more as the total population grows even larger. Mind you we have being trying to assist this process by a continual appetite for war.
