dangerous
is the warrior type
who boasts no fear
never sheds a tear
advances with ruthless strength
decimating all obstacles
with sheer determination
slash and burn
to achieve the goal
in admiration
we call it strength
in reality
i call it brutal

jungle law
has its draw backs
everyone needs to sleep
with one eye open
Imaginary Garden With Real Toads
A strong message wrapped in an elegantly written poem, Rall!💖💖
ReplyDeleteOh yes, so true...love it!
ReplyDeleteHumans are ugly, cruel animals that even hate each other. Perhaps the Earth is like a prison ship where all the failed creatures that have developed are kept on this planet; whilst unknown to us is another planet where all acceptable creatures can live peaceably.
ReplyDeleteNice one! I like the Tennessee Williams quote you shared, too.
ReplyDeleteFrom my perspective ... I appreciate your perspective!
ReplyDeletePowerful....and so true
ReplyDeleteThis is true and makes me sad. Well written.
ReplyDeleteStrength needs to be balanced with sentiment
ReplyDeleteYes, true strength has much gentleness in it, and compassion, I believe. Awesome to read you this fine morning, Rall.
ReplyDeleteWell said, and I agree!
ReplyDeleteHow true! And you have written it in such an effective manner. The lines between strength and brutal can be difficult to navigate.
ReplyDeleteP.s. I apologize for such a long delay in reading and responding to your take on the prompt.
