I am in a partial state of envy as you move thru summer ... maybe a bit envious of your writing skill as well ????? LOL
The hope & exhaustion in these is an interesting contrast.
And the sad Christmas turns to joy with the breaking of the drought! Hallelujah!
I enjoyed your vignettes.. each a stand-alone pleasure!
They are all lovely, but I really like the last. Simple, yet so much is said. So much depending on that rain. Only, after a drought, having two lines raining may cause a flood!
I love these pithy and perfect little reflections; so apposite, and conveying so much in their few well-chosen words.
A happy end in disguise "the drought has broken' and I love the photos That owl with the parrot is gorgeous
So glad the drought has broken.
As we Aussies enjoy our summer and above the equator have their winter I can't hide that smirk on my face as our winters are quite good as well!
and it rained and rained over here too. loved all the micropoetry. the first one inspired me to write this :at the mallthe God of Fortunereplaces SantaHappy New Year! (and my Chinese New Year is around the corner)
I love happy endings. May the rain and soil kiss and grow fresh things!
You are so creative with your words! Love these! Big Hugs!
