diogenese carried a lamp day and night
in search of an honest man
he wandered from place to place
until someone stole his lamp
oh well in that regard
nothing much has changed
in a few thousand years
That is for sure. We could use up a lot of wicks looking for an honest man.
Fundamentally dishonest as a species? That's too dark for one lamp.
Yes that is a search that could exhaust the strongest of hearts.
Quite bright of you I say .. cheers and tallyho.
Usually they find you, when you least expect it.
This was a fun read. I reviewed just a little on Diogenes."He was born in Sinope, an Ionian colony on the Black Sea coast of Anatolia in 412 or 404 BC and died at Corinth in 323 BC." (Wikipedia)..
I chuckled at this. But I still want to believe there are honest men and women.
The search is unending.
Nothing much has changed in all this time but, there are a few honest ones still walking around.
Never a truer word spoke!
