suspender belts
broken snaps and threepences
holding them in place

  1. What a lovely idea! It's a carping criticism to point out that strictly, your first line is short of a syllable. But the technical details of the repair are intriguing, Here in UK we haven't had threepenny pieces (threepenny bits, they were called, 12 sided) since . . well, we decimalised finally in 1971. Memory isn't infallible, but I think suspender belts were well on the way out by then also. But perleease . . exactly how did the repairwork , , er . . er . . work?

  2. The 575 format for haiku is considered to be clumsy by the Japanese. We have a whiz kid haiku expert on RWP and I tend to agree with him because he writes good haiku. You can have an assortment of syllables. It is not rigid.

I don't know you well enough yet to discuss the finer intricacies of undergarments Thankyou
for commenting anyway. It seems that threepences and suspender belts aren't drawing a huge response.Oh and some local info for you.
