If  I faint
will you prod me
with a clenched fist
tell me to get back
on track and how
others do it
much tougher than I

Is this an omen
Or am I having a Gauguin
moment with pink sand blood sea
and green sky
What colour is grief?

  2. Pink sand blood sea....a very eerie thought, but I like 'Gauguin moment.'

  3. This photo is a news photo taken on Tuesday November 27th of Bondi Beach. The Eastern beaches in Sydney had turned this colour because of algae bloom....

  4. Interesting about the picture taken so recently at Bondi Beach..wow....just hearing the name of the beach brings back fond memories. Sigh. Is it still safe to swim in?

  5. Yep, all gone now.I surf at Bronte but actually the harbour beaches are the best for swimming.

  6. Phew... I don't think I'd want to swim in a sea that colour...looks so different though.
Certainly would not welcome a clenched fist to get me back on track either.
Thanks for catching the wave for me ;)

  7. A prod should always be with an open hand..made me think..what colour is grief..black seems too easy..a welcome repose after the Red Sea perhaps? Grief seems alive..jumping like electricity..never ending..I am glad you are back surfing in blue sea..Jae

  9. It's hard for someone who hasn't experienced real grief to understand how debilitating it can be. Excellent work here!

  10. I thought it was great, the way you worked Gauguin's lively colors into your post.

  11. If the one you loved has coloured your life, grief is grey. Grief is an unwelcome emotion that allows us to hold on to someone that is not there but slowly we let go in our own time.
