Dilemma

compromise
difficult
conundrum

you're damned if you do
you're damned if you don't

la balance
weighing everything up
with meticulous precision
to make the right
decision
to find
the best way forward

defeated

i don't know
have never known
will ever know

anything

  2. Is there is a name for the middle of the scales..would that be the place of not knowing..where we can step back and figure things out..i wonder if anyone's scales are truly balanced or if we're all a bit tipsy..jae

  5. Aww...such a sad poem but, logically, if you think you've never know anything then, you have known something.
    Beautiful, concise, poetry.

  6. Waiting for foolproof direction before making a decision is the best way to drive yourself batty. We're all more or less acting on ignorance. Great words, I enjoyed reading them!

  9. Sounds like a good reminder that not making a decision is making a decision to let someone or something else decide for us. We can never know all the answers. Sometimes we just have to move forward. It isn't always easy.

  10. I have certainly felt this way before. Your terse lines convey the claustrophobia well.

  13. Compromise is the least worst option except that nobody is satisfied with it! The only other alternative is to accept you are wrong or mistaken but what a relief when you find that even that is not the end of the world.
