Archbishop Of Canterbury..Tankas

Dad's an Archbishop
What a big hoot!-they don't know
he swears at the dog
when it rips up the prayer books
gets stage fright reading sermons

At least he is safe
they wont burn Dad at the stake
like they did before
with Cranmer - Christians still at
war with each other

  1. Ha, that Mitre should be worn by all Christians... and I hope that dog is not chastised for eating prayer books... :-)

  3. Very good--maybe the dog was commanded by God to eat the prayer book, like John or . . . who was it, Ezekiel? One of those Old Testament prophets. Sweet in the mouth, bitter in the stomach. Well done!

  4. To have a vocation for so many years and then to be in a position where EVERYONE is listening (not just Anglicans in the CofE) must be mind blowing. But we are all human and doggy misdeeds can sure get to us all! I like the warm, human feel you give to the Archbishop as Dad (I certainly wish him all the best).

i haven't been too impressed with his colleagues of the past few years, but...
with a daughter like you, I am having great hope for the future :-)
    Genes will tell.

  8. As long as he has someone close to him to accord due support. He can have peace of mind with his calling! Nicely Rallentanda!

  9. Humour is the best medicine, even for our fears!

  10. Nice. I wouldn't want any leader to project perfection, as if we don't know how things really are. Humility is a much better fit, especially in the ministry.
