the secret seven
a lonely child's salvation
thanks enid blyton

noddy and big ears
a couple of poofs they say
what utter nonsense

seven hills of rome
are alive with the sound of
slurping spaghetti

the seven pillars
of wisdom have the answers
no i don't think so
The Magic Faraway Tree and the Wishing Chair were my favourites..sometimes talking teapots have the answer.. ;)
ReplyDeleteI would rather talk to a teapot than almost anyone else except for you dear Jae Rose.
ReplyDeleteReally sweet secret seven. This is an all time favourite with kids. And Noddy wow Rallentanda your Haiku made me nostalgic!
ReplyDeleteah the first one took me to my childhood......and i love that touch of Sound of Music cleverly used here in the 3rd haiku and again bringing home to me those nostalgic days of childhood......a wonderful set Rallentanda.......

ReplyDeleteI am not familiar with Enid Blyton so did a search and find that you were very fortunate to have been familiar with her books. The books sound delightful. Thank you for sharing this with your poems today.
