Sunday Scribblings; Poets United

the nature of man
is the scorpion
the great destroyer

frogs are known
for doing favours
trusting silly  creatures

pity they can't read fables
more might still exist
alas they keep on
giving scorpions rides

a thick skin is recommended

when bitten a frog can survive
yet another day to give
yet another scorpion a ride

who most likely will be disguised
as a pretty winged dragonfly
wearing a halo

  1. Mankind is far worse, for the scorpion has only its instinct unaware of the consequences; mankind has only evil intent regardless of their own own survival.

  2. I guess 'we' put on different masks..sometimes the most beautiful (or the ones who think they're the bees knees) have the sharpest tongues and tails..good old Toadie..has his problems but is good..off to Toad Hall!
