Missing Summer Already



Autumn Tankas

chocolate paddlepops
only taste good in summer
fish and salted chips
taste much better in paper
at the beach with a cold beer


summer went too fast
now it is autumn followed
by winter and the bleak time
not that it is freezing cold
the sky remains blue mostly

    Beer is a summer only drink for me. Though Fish & Chips are good on a cold day. Have to use your own newspaper to get the full effect.

    I always miss summer as soon as the heat leaves. And Ice tea and beer only taste good then. But hey! What of hot chocolate and cider and logs in a fireplace?

    Fish'n'chips in newspaper hot'n'lovely, watching the tide come in and listening to the gulls squark - all under a summer sun. Lovely. Soon it will be here...hopefully, the sun that is.
