we write songs about it
blue moon
bad moon rising
we make movies about it
la luna
blood moon
moonstruck

we try to run away from it as children
putting our hands up to touch it
climbing trees to get closer
we can see it is made of cheese
we can see the man smiling

in the full moon
the dogs start howling
the moon flowers become agitated
and for those still connected
to primitive man and spirituality
- ditto
we become troubled unsettled
our antennaes are alert
our insights are sharpened
our ancestors visit us in dreams
voices who are long gone
buried in the past reappear

we always know when the full moon
is about and relieved when it goes
years ago they would have locked us up
now - they put us in charge of things
The moon is always a muse :) loved by one and all.
