Recuerda Mi Corazon

bed is too cosy
hard to get out in winter
warm dreams in duvets

the russians say that
friendships are a dark forest
they know of these things

the heart of the home
funky and unpretentious
artist's bold kitchen

lights glimmer through trees
last summer at red leaf pool
some nice memories

swimming pool comes first
question of priorities
you don't need a house

  3. I read this and thought, must be an Australian, then saw your URL and had it confirmed :) Nice one. I did think kiwi for a second but then realised a kiwi would never prioritise a pool over a warm house! Nice write :)

  4. Don't make it appear too good here or we will have even more immigrants!

    3. Oh that's right in those days we did not send them back like we do now.
Well of course the present government might change their minds and send you back now that we don't need you anymore. If they do you can count on me to send you food parcels of lamingtons and vegemite for Christmas. Although in England now Christmas is politically incorrect so it might have to be for Ramadan.

  6. Ah, that kitchen does look like it would foster creativity. The table looks like one from my childhood...but with a silver top rather than a red one!

  7. I choose cozy bed over winter ~ Of course, a swimming pool is cooler than house ~

  8. I really like how you've placed warmth ensconced in dream (in duvets), in friendship,in the feeling called home , in memories of summer and in the joyful moments in a pool..a lovely write...

  9. I take it you must be able to use the pool a lot. Here you would never prioritize the pool over the warm comfort of a house you know.

  15. Better to have a cozy bed that you can't drag yourself out of than no bed at all, wouldn't you say?

  16. How enjoyable to see/read! I'd hate to give up bedroom and kitchen no matter how I agree about the pool.

  17. I get that . . . you can always live in an abandoned double-decker so long as you have a place to hang out and drink beer.
