Grapeling's Words for Imaginary Gardens With Real Toads
fresh burst defy exchange customary
the fresh sun burst of a juicy orange
defies comparison as
a customary breakfast experience
combined with an exchange
of sleepy glances over coffee
it's a nice start to the day
A great start to the day! And a very charming poem--bright and cheerful, thanks. k.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome !

ReplyDeletePithy and pipless.
My keyboard has a will of its own. Pity it can be pretty mindless at times.
Its not just a nice start, it is perhaps the best!
ReplyDeletesounds scrumptious - thanks for adding your juicy pen to the mix ~ M
ReplyDeleteYour poem recounts well a delicious start to the day on two counts!
ReplyDeleteI agree, nice start of the day ~ I prefer though eating fruits later as it upsets my stomach, smiles ~
ReplyDeletewhen we lived in florida we had an orange tree in the back yard...
ReplyDeleteused to go out there with my son and would eat until we nearly made ourselves sick...ha...they were so good though
I get the image right down to the sparkle and spritz of first contact. I refer my citrus closer to lunch, but the image is compelling.
ReplyDeleteVery standard morning expressed so differently with a poem. Well done.
ReplyDeleteIn winter (now) we have our best juicy local oranges. In summer not so good. We have imported Florida oranges which taste as if they have been in cold storage for many decades possibly since the invention of refrigeration:)
ReplyDeleteOrange slices and sleepy glances...yes, a nice start to the day.
ReplyDeleteYes! Thank you.

ReplyDeleteorange slices to energize the body..a nice start indeed..
ReplyDeleteThe picture and your poem make me yearn for oranges. I eat them at any time, though they're wonderful for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteYes, it opens the day wide open, a great start! Nicely Rallentanda!
