Sunshine

Victor Borgia: Leonid Hambro

in a  frenetic life
a visit from these
two clever  darlings
bring a smile
reminiscent of
a slower time
a simpler time
a time of our grandparents
radiating soft charm
warming  the heart
releasing our thoughts
from diurnal grind
just for a few minutes

a lovely performance
from two twinkling little stars
now sharing a box seat
in the galaxy somewhere

  2. Nice tribute, Rall. I did have to look up, away from your poem, to see again the names of the performers.

  3. OH how delightful… I remember watching Victor Borge with my father as a child and then later with my husband (who is himself a pianist) in our youthful married years… What a treat!!! I will share this with them both!

  4. I had no trouble getting here, Rall. Sunshine? Clearly they are for you, for their audience and for the grandparents too. Thank you for this glimpse of the two little stars.

  7. Even if in a box set we can still hear and enjoy them! Anything thing that makes the daily grind a little brighter is always good
