no not for me it aint
tis the month of writing
a poem a day
keep them short
don't faint
tis the month of easter
with hot cross buns
and chocolate eggs
hardboiled red painted ones too
which the greeks crack open
end to end...a game on easter sunday
traditionally pursued
Tsougrisma....the red Easter egg game

Oh, I had forgotten about Easter! The red eggs sound good though.
ReplyDeleteI can almost taste some of those descriptions. The yummy treats. And the warmer weather. I really loved your poem.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, those are good things about April, indeed. 'Keep them short' is excellent advice for we who poem each day during that month.
ReplyDeleteKaló Páscha! Yes, April can be all fun and games on Easter Sunday, but remember that before that there is Lent and Passion Week (and what more cruel than crucifying someone?). But the story has a happy ending... :-)
ReplyDeleteIndeed !
