tracts breakup covered satirical violin lego bee informer mountains wheels yellow
SMITTEN...HOOK LINE & SINKER
he was very eccentric
a bee keeper
a lego champion
a brilliant violinist
an academic translator
of ancient greek tracts
owned a cabin in the mountains
which he made from yellow wagon wheels
the walls covered in satirical slogans
and photos of his grandfather who was
a famous british informer in WW2
she often wondered why she kept him on
and not break up with such a mad hatter
well if the truth be known
he was drop dead gorgeous
and when he played the bach double violin concerto
there was no turning back

He sounds like someone I would like to know - and being drop dead gorgeous is the icing on the cake.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant take - so clever with the poetic limerick ... loved it - cheers Hilary
