ReplyDeleteRemarkable story. Never heard that one before.
ReplyDeletehow sad.
ReplyDeletegreat words!
ReplyDeleteleaving its twin behind like a pet at a pond...that is rather sad...and people are not always who they are made out to be..eh?
ReplyDeleteMy goodness..now i'm going to have to investigate miss p..she scared me..and those penguins and Dick Van Dyke..another reason why I'm screwy no doubt!
ReplyDeleteYep..I'd blame Mary Poppins and Lewis Carrol ( giggles!)
DeleteI used to read the book as a kid. It's darker then the film but not like this. I like this, though. Your story telling and keeping in verse, the rhythm and flow of it, tripping one line to the next, easy to keep on reading. Thanks, I enjoyed reading.
ReplyDeleteAnyone can look good with a great publicist. We are all human so we will all have a dark side. However it was great to be carried away by your dark umbrella prose.
ReplyDelete" dark umbrella prose"..lovely and very poetic phrase!I see the reluctant poet emerging:)
