For The Weekend

For The New South Welshmen who survived the stinker yesterday .

man it was a hot one
like seven inches from the midday sun
way over the century mark

global warming is here to stay
was the hottest year this year
will even  be hotter next year
south australia is burning

no worries mate
as long as the giant corporations
are stashing it away
sitting pretty on profits
that's all that counts

what happens
when the water dries up and the crops fail?
future generations can deal with that one

  1. We have a developed a "not in my lifetime" mentality so let future generations worry about that. That the Earth's average temperature has risen 1 degree in the last 100 years is of no consequence to anybody because they won't be here in another 100 years when it happens again or more and the consequences are catastrophic. Not only is nothing thought of the Earth we care not one iota for our children either. No uses complaining to politicians we only pay them a pittance compared with what industry does.

  3. They can't beat it so let's hope they find a way to beat it. Winter has just arrived here with a cruel vengeance. I wonder what it will dump on us this time round?

  4. The world is changing everyday and corporate greed will always be at play..lining their pockets not caring what tomorrow will bring.

on a lighter side I always enjoy some Rob Thomas and Carlos...
