Poets and Story Tellers United # 197....Friday Writings

 CELEBRATION

Ruhe Sanft mein holdes leben.

you
sent her this lovely aria
to sprinkle joy
to revive
that sad parched  dying bloom
sending her flying high
on clouds of ectasy elation and delight

you
her healing angel
who gave her hope
who blotted out
the dark dregs of despair with
your vibrant colour
your brilliance
your generosity
your kinship
your love

and it wasn't even her birthday

  3. It is happiness for the giver to make the recipient of the gift happy. It is often such a little thing that we think we give, but when it is received - especially at a critical time in our life - it can make a huge difference. A beautiful poem, it has made me happy, thank you.

  5. Flowers do wonders. I remember giving my mother flowers, dandelions growing wild everywhere as did the violets in the school yard. I gave her both, I'm not sure which was first.

  6. The vibrance if blooms sweeps away darkness and gloom. The aura of optimism amidst uncertainties is refreshing.
