Haiku Horizons

Here is a short extract from Canon Andrew's Blog July 30 2014

Dear Friends,
Everyday we think that the crisis here cannot get worse and every day it does. Yesterday over 1500 people were killed and the Islamic state (formerly known as ISIS ) simply said we can do anything now The world is simply looking at Gaza.

  4. He who rules the media rules the world ....
Saw a similar post on WordPress -- how the world was outraged by the concentration camps in Germany in WWII (as they should have been!) but when the Soviets rolled through the same area - rampaging and raping and pillaging -- none of these atrocities ever made it to the media. Partly because the Soviets wouldn't let any of this make it to the media -- but partly because the world really didn't *want* to hear about it anymore.

A very powerful post here ----

  5. Justice is often a word one uses too smugly...your haiku is sadly true...it shames me to see how we, as humans, can be inhumane...and yet the media, is it that honest or do they too have restrictions and need to stay safe. It is the internet, people communicating that I learn more what goes on int he world than the news.

  9. Each believing in their own justice ... whist it's vengence and hate that's doing all the talking. Each day another tale of senseless cruelty and horror runs along the telematic lines ... Christians, Moslems, Buddhists whatever ... it's people killing people ...
